Calcium Carbonate (CaCO₃) is a naturally occurring mineral used across a wide range of industries. It is one of the most common and versatile minerals, offering applications from construction materials to fine chemicals.

 

Composition: Calcium Carbonate is composed of calcium, carbon, and oxygen atoms (CaCO₃), typically found in three forms: calcite, aragonite, and vaterite.

Properties:

  • White, odorless powder or granules.
  • Insoluble in water but soluble in acids like hydrochloric acid.

  • Offers high brightness and opacity.

  • Acts as a neutralizing agent, making it useful in controlling pH levels.
